Halos, projectors, simple to install, and affordable. The Spyder Auto Projector headlights are and excellent replacement to old stock lights. They are a lot cheaper than retrofits, and a lot easier to install. Anyone that knows how to turn a wretch, and pop clips can installed in one afternoon. The light output is very well defined. You can see where the dark ends and where the light begins. The light output quality is nowhere near the projectors of Acuras, and BMWs, but it is still many times better than standard reflectors. The low and high beams take H1 type bulbs and the kit includes halogen bulbs. These headlight can easily be upgraded to HID type lights. The Halos produce a nice blueish, white ring. It is not too bright to be annoying at night but not too dim to be invisible in the day. The housing has a place for the parking light. All the connectors are compatible with the car the entire install process is essential plug and play right out side of the box.
Sadly, the deal-breaker for the this kit is the fitting. The stock headlight housing will slide into place very easily, and all the hole will line up perfectly. The edge of the car and the housing will make contact leave no room for gaps. Of course, stock headlights are suppose to fit. The Spyder kit, however, doesn't hit it marks the same. The headlight will slide into the car with little fuss. The screw holes are not an exact fit and require some push of the headlight to get the holes to line up. What make this kit have low marks is not the process of install, but the ending fit. The top corners of the housing have a black rubber seal that does not close and does not make contact with the car's body. The top edge of the housing sticks out leaving a large portion of the top exposed. I understand that aftermarket parts sometime are not a perfect fit. However, the amount this housing is off makes it look ugly and the seals open will allow more water to enter than the stock housing. I am hoping that these problems are there because I was shipped a defective kit and that this experience was an exception and not the rule.
If you are looking for a headlights to replace damaged housing on your daily driver and aesthetics is not priority, the Spyder Auto Projector headlights for the Honda Accord is the best bang for the buck. Other than that, I would not recommend this kit. For around $150, you get what you pay for.
